Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse - South Yorkshire Our client has a job vacancy for a Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse to work in South Yorkshire. This vacancy has an initial 3-6 month contract and the pay rate for this role is £22-25 per hour (limited company worker). Duties - Carrying out screening and referral assessment. - Carrying out comprehensive substance misuse assessment. - Developing, implementing and reviewing care plans for individuals. - Raising awareness about substances, their use and effects. - Contributing to assessing and act upon risk of danger, harm and abuse. - Supporting individuals through detoxification programmes. - Dispensing medicines and products. - Supervising methadone consumption. - Preparing prescriptions for controlled drugs. - Enabling individuals to take their medication as prescribed. - Helping individuals address their substance use through an action plan. Requirements All applicants must be a registered mental health nurse (RMN) or registered general nurse (RGN) and have a valid NMC Pin. You must have at least 2 years recent post qualifying experience working within a similar role and you must have a strong background of experience and knowledge of working within substance misuse settings.
