Paediatric Care Assistant – Waking Nights

Advantage Healthcare is recruiting for Care Assistants to support children in the Nottingham area.


£8.25 - £10.70 per hour, Waking Nights



We have been entrusted with the care of a young boy aged 6 who suffers with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Scoliosis. Due to his conditions, his respiratory function is impaired so he requires the use of a Nippy ventilator, which helps maintain his airway and lung function as he sleeps. Care Assistants are required to provide respite during the night for his parents.


We are looking for dedicated and attentive Complex Carers to provide waking night care to our client, and to ensure he has a comfortable night's sleep. You will need to respond quickly if he becomes acutely unwell providing him with oxygen and ensuring he does not become distressed.


We are looking for Care Assistants with experience of;



  • Nippy ventilators

  • Complex care environment

  • Children's experience

  • Moving and handling


You will need to have access to your own car and a willingness to travel throughout the local area. Clinical references will also be required to show your skills and experience.
