About the role
You will really get to know our residents and their preferences − you will promote choice, dignity and respect
Ensuring mealtimes run smoothly, some of your key duties will include taking menu choices and serving food and drink in a friendly and warm manner
You will prepare dining rooms to Silver Service standard and ensure condiments are replenished
You will also be responsible for providing additional Hosting services, such as seating our residents in the dining room and helping them move to the lounge after mealtimes.
Who we're looking for
As someone with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and waiting-on experience, you understand the importance of high standards. Confident, enthusiastic and with great communication skills, you will enjoy being a team player but will also be happy working on your own, using your initiative.

About the Home
This purpose-built home in a residential area of Newtown in Powys offers a range of care for elderly residents and is conveniently located on a local bus route with shops nearby. A range of stays are available, to give all residents the level of support they require. The home provides residential care, care for residents with dementia, as well as convalescence, respite and palliative care. The home is managed by Bupa on behalf of the local authority, and welcomes residents from all funding types including the local authority, private funding or NHS continuing care.
