About the role
You will really get to know our residents and their preferences − you will promote choice, dignity and respect
Ensuring mealtimes run smoothly, some of your key duties will include taking menu choices and serving food and drink in a friendly and warm manner
You will prepare dining rooms to Silver Service standard and ensure condiments are replenished
You will also be responsible for providing additional Hosting services, such as seating our residents in the dining room and helping them move to the lounge after mealtimes.
Who we're looking for
As someone with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and waiting-on experience, you understand the importance of high standards. Confident, enthusiastic and with great communication skills, you will enjoy being a team player but will also be happy working on your own, using your initiative.

About the Home
Dean Wood Nursing and Residential Care Home has been designed to provide specialist nursing and dementia care facilities. It is a brand new purpose built care home located in the town of Woodingdean, Brighton. The home is part of a former woodland site and is in an elevated position with sea views. The home is conveniently located near to the local amenities and Brighton city centre which is just 2 miles away.
