We are currently selecting for 4 senior healthcare assistants, into a 46 bedded EMI residential home within the Stafford area.



For this role the ideal candidate will hold a NVQ Level 3 in health and social care, or have an extensive amount of experience in the care sector. In return, the client is offering excellent rates of pay and ongoing training opportunities.



Your duties as a senior healthcare assistant will be:

* Organise and control other Care Assistants throughout a shift of work.

* Assist in the formal supervision of other carers.

* Assist the trained nurse in the appraisal of other carers.

* Take on the role of key worker for a group of clients.

* Assist a trained nurse in the administration of medicines.

* Respect the individual rights and choices of clients.

* Respond to the differing cultural values and diversity of clients.

* Ensure the health and safety of clients. Report any health and safety issues or equipment

failures to your Manager.

* Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.

* Provide personal care to clients with regard to their daily living needs.

* Contribute to the therapeutic and social programmes offered to individual clients.

* Carry out manual handling in accordance with training and in house policy.

* Assist clients to live a normal lifestyle including sleeping at night.

* Assist clients in retaining memory and lifeskills.
