Job Reference - VAC-15043 Job Title - In-flight Nurse/Medical Case Manager Location - Esher, Surrey Salary - £35k-£40k per annum Hours - Full time, hours are worked over 3 long days from 8am-10pm covering 7 days per week My client is one of the world's leading providers of international medical, security and travel assistance services. They ensure the welfare of over 2 million people on behalf of multi-national corporations, governments, non-governmental organisations and insurers. From their Esher office they provide the service 7 days per week between 8am and 10pm, outside of these hours the service is provided by offices in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. The Role The Medical Case Managers work alongside the operational and assistance teams within the company to provide medical advice and support to international clients. This diverse and challenging role is supported by our team of in-house doctors and is integral to the growth and development of business. *Provision of medical advice and support to our international corporate assistance, claims and occupational health teams. *Management of medical cases worldwide, liaising with local medical staff to ensure treatment received is medically appropriate in relation to the individual's circumstances. *Provision of telephone medical advice to clients and arranging medical referral where necessary. *Provision of medical advice and guidance to the repatriation team; liaison with medical escorts, transferring and receiving hospitals and patients to ensure evacuations and repatriations are coordinated safely and efficiently. All newly appointed Medical Case Managers go through a comprehensive induction training programme to ensure they are fully trained and able to provide the level of service required and expected by our clients. Training includes; in-house case management system (CMS), levels of cover, authorisation for treatment, costing and planning care plans and repatriation or evacuation procedures, including clinical considerations for these. In-flight Nurse in addition to the above our Medical Case Managers have the option to fly as Medical Escorts for the Company on an ad hoc basis when not scheduled to be office based. In-flight work does not form part of the contract of employment and is purely optional for those wishing to fly. Hours We work a 34.5 hour week, Monday to Sunday. Medical Case Manager generally work 12 shifts per month, this may vary to meet business and client requirements.
