Care Assistant

Advantage Healthcare is recruiting for a Children's Care Assistant to support a baby with complex health needs.

Aylesbury, £10.25 - £13.88 per hour, Days and nights shifts available.

Our client is a lovely 1 year old baby girl with complex health needs. She lives in the family home with her Mum, Dad and 3 brothers and sisters. She suffers from Bartsocas Syndrome and doesn't have any head control, as a result when she becomes uncomfortable she will cry. We are seeking trustworthy and confident Children's Care Assistants to support with our clien'ts tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube during the night. This little girl loves nothing more than being cuddled and enjoys lying in her baby seat and being sung too.

You will be there during the night to ensure her safety and care needs are met, you will also be required a couple of days during the week to provide respite for her parents. You must be willing to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per week. Ideally we are looking for Care Assistants with a NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Full client specific training will be provided.

If you have the skills and experience of working with children who have complex health needs, then we would be keen to hear from you!

What I can expect:

  • On going 24/7 support from the AHG Senior Nurse and Carer Team

  • Continued professional development and specialist training

  • First refusal to other care opportunities

  • Members loyalty scheme
