SPECIALIST LEAD MENTOR


TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 6 MONTHS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF A FURTHER EXTENSION


VICTORIA HOUSE, VICTORIA STREET, OPENSHAW, MANCHESTER


£10.55 PER HOUR, 37.5 Hours Per Week


We are looking for someone with drive and tenacity to work as part of a team delivering services to Prolific Offenders with support needs.


As a Specialist Lead Mentor you will be delivering person centred support services directly to clients alongside the Victoria House Project Worker team, deputising for the Skills and Volunteer Coordinator, mentoring colleagues and monitoring front line service delivery to ensure we are able to deliver the best possible service to our clients and are able to work to the exact requirements of the terms of this innovative and new style of contract.


The Specialist Lead Mentor, in conjunction with the Skills and Volunteer Coordinator and Local Services Manager will have a lead role in pioneering this initiative. Daily liaison with other Agencies and professionals is fundamental to this role, so excellent communication skills along with the self-belief to challenge where necessary are essential. Previous experience of working with clients with Offending behaviours and vulnerable groups who may challenge services is essential along with some previous supervisory experience.


The ability to be flexible and adaptable, to work confidently off your own initiative, yet work collaboratively with a team along with the enthusiasm to welcome continuous learning, both 'on the job' and formally, must be a given.


Our excellent benefits package includes 33 days annual leave, pro rata (including bank holidays) and a contributory pension scheme.
