Who we're looking for:
We are seeking practitioners with a commitment to high standards of patient care to join a well established team within the theatre department. We currently have a vacancy in our Paediatric Theatre for an Anaesthetic Practitioner.
You will have proven experience in Paediatric anaesthesia and be able to work in outlying areas such as MRI, CT and with some experience in Recovery. You will be able demonstrate evidence of appropriate professional development. Experience in Adult anaesthesia would be an advantage.
You will be a Level 1 Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin number or Operating Department Practitioner Diploma/Level 3 ODP with a valid HPC number.
ALS is desirable but training will be given to achieve this.
Applicants must be willing to participate in an on call rota and weekend working.
About the Role
You will work as part of the multi disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to patients undergoing medical treatment. You will be responsible for the assessment of patients care needs and for the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
You will ensure high standards of care for patients and their families by:
• Delivery and management of direct nursing care
• Working with agreed standards and according to NMC or HPC Code of Conduct
• Being accountable for patient outcomes
• Enhancing the quality of care by assisting with the management of change in nursing practice based on evidence/research.
