Reporting to the home manager, the Unit Manager will be accountable for the smooth running of a 30 bedded dementia unit within the care home providing leadership and direction to the nursing and care staff. You will ensure that all residents have their individual care needs adhered to at all times. You will be a team player. Kindness will be second nature to you. You will have a keen eye for detail, always act with integrity and be driven by the principles of fairness. You will behave in a transparent manner always showing respect to our residents, their families and your colleagues. You will be a nurse with previous clinical leadership experience. In previous roles, you will have been in charge of individual shifts delegating duties to nurses and care staff. You will also have previous experience of assisting in the development of colleagues either through supervision or mentorship plus previous experience providing nursing care in an elderly and dementia setting. The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
