Cook – Aldringham Court, Nr Aldeburgh

We are looking to recruit a full time cook at Aldringham Court. Job Summary To ensure menus reflect the needs and wishes of the residents and the presentation of meals served exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that delivery of meals meet the residents’ individual plan of care.

  • Adhere at all times to the company policies and procedures.

  • To maintain budgeted levels of expenditure.

  • To ensure strict adherence to safety and security of all kitchen areas.


Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working as a professional Chef/Cook within an elderly care environment.

  • Experience of designing and cooking nutritional balanced meals incorporating any specific dietary requirements.

  • Excellent planning, organisational and presentation skills.

  • A proven ability to work as part of a team.

  • To be able to demonstrate an ability to ensure confidentiality.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • An ability to take a pro-active approach.

  • Excellent attendance and time keeping record.

  • Flexible approach to work and ability to manage, prioritise and work to deadlines.


Qualifications

  • Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Professional Cooking or equivalent

  • Advance Food hygiene certificate.


Job Role

  • 35 hours per week

  • Flexibility to work shifts as required (including mornings, afternoons and weekends where necessary)
