- To ensure that delivery of meals meet the residents’ individual plan of care.
- Adhere at all times to the company policies and procedures.
- To maintain budgeted levels of expenditure.
- To ensure strict adherence to safety and security of all kitchen areas.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a professional Chef/Cook within an elderly care environment.
- Experience of designing and cooking nutritional balanced meals incorporating any specific dietary requirements.
- Excellent planning, organisational and presentation skills.
- A proven ability to work as part of a team.
- To be able to demonstrate an ability to ensure confidentiality.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- An ability to take a pro-active approach.
- Excellent attendance and time keeping record.
- Flexible approach to work and ability to manage, prioritise and work to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Professional Cooking or equivalent
- Advance Food hygiene certificate.
Job Role
- 35 hours per week
- Flexibility to work shifts as required (including mornings, afternoons and weekends where necessary)
