Support Worker/Care Assistant

Support Worker required to assist a gentleman with an acquired brain injury in the Prestonpans area

£8.98 - £13.47 per hour, various shifts

Advantage Healthcare has been entrusted with the care of a gentleman in his early 20's who lives in the Edinburgh area. He was involved in a life changing road traffic accident which has resulted in an Acquired Brain Injury. Consequently, our client suffers with physical, cognitive and behavioural difficulties.

We are looking for patient and thoughtful Support Workers who have previous experience of supporting clients who have Acquired Brain Injuries in their own homes. You will be required to provide assistance with personal care and social activities. Our client requires support with regular sessions at the Gym and local swimming pool therefore requires a support worker who enjoys being active and is physically fit. You will also attend football matches at Edinburgh roughly once a month. You will work well as part of a team, providing care to our client on a 2:1 basis. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a full driving licence. You will be able to commit to regular working hours and be able to provide clinical references to cover recent experience.
