Our client has a locum job vacancy for a substance misuse nurse to work in East London. This vacancy has an initial 3-6 month contract and the pay rate for this role is £27-33 per hour (limited company worker).
Duties include:
- Developing therapeutic alliances with people who have difficulties through the use of substances including alcohol and developing effective partnerships with service users to support their individual recovery journeys
- Working alongside the designated medical officer to offer substitute prescribing regimes to improve health and promote recovery
- Engaging proactively with both line management and clinical supervision and maintain a current knowledge of appropriate interventions
Requirements:
All applicants must be a qualified nurse (RMN/RGN), be registered on the NMC and have a valid, up to date pin. You must have at least 2 years recent post qualifying experience working as a nurse within substance misuse. Candidates must have at least 2 years experience working in community substance misuse services with prescribed service users.
