Staff Nurse – Nursing Home

White Recruitment is currently looking for a Staff Nurse (RMN) to work within the elderly nursing home environment providing nursing care for the elderly in a 46 bedded nursing home. This home specialises in progressive nursing and residential services for young adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. People living here may also present with behaviours that challenge, associated mental health problems and other complex needs. The service itself has a 43 person unit plus a 3 person annexe which provides high specification accommodation with spacious grounds to the rear and 2 separate quads in the centre of the building. Job Description: *Full-Time hours available on day duty *To provide a high standard of nursing care and to meet the needs of residents based on an assessment of their care needs in consultation with residents and their relatives. *To assist with re-assessment of the residents’ needs, and re-evaluation of care – adapting and prioritising the planned care appropriately. *Delegation and supervision of duties to care staff. *Communication with outside Agencies and Medical Practitioners. *Ordering of drugs and medical supplies and the safe disposal of unwanted drugs, in accordance with accepted procedures.
