Children’s Care Home Manager – Learning Disabilities



Our client in Wolverhampton has a locum job vacancy for a Children's Care Home Manager to work within learning disabilities. This job vacancy has a permanent contract and the pay rate for this role is £27,000-34,000 per annum (negotiable).


Duties:

- Working with children who show challenging and/or complex behaviour and have learning disabilities such as EBU and autism

- Managing child protection concerns and complaints

- Liaising with local authorities, schools, health and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes possible for children

- Allocating a key worker for each young person

- Developing plans which reflect the care, educational, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs of children

- Maintaining and developing a competent team and offering leadership to all


Requirements:

All applicants must have an NVQ Level 4 in Management (children and young people) or registered manager's award and have at least 3-5 years recent experience working as a registered manager with children mil-moderate and/or challenging behaviour and emotional behaviour EDB. You must have knowledge of how to get on the Framework and sourcing and well as a track record of good or outstanding OFSTED inspection reports.


Knowledge of OFSTED must be of the following;

- Children's Home Guidance & Regulations

- Working knowledge of the Children's Act 1989

- National Care Standards Act 2000

- Children's Home Regulations 2001
